  My midwife asked the other day how many grandkids my mom had… i said 20.
  and she made no effort to hide her awe. she asked how old you were and she was just completely awestruck… I exmplained that 2 of my siblings had 7 and 8 children. and again, she was agast! she said that its not so common in France anymore for people to do that. Although, I’m not sure its SO common in the US either! (although I know quite a few myself).
