Mother’s Day

Americans celebrate Mother Day on the 2nd Sunday of  May. In Spain it is one week earlier. As a mother myself, it’s my day to be thankful to the Lord for the privilege to be a mom..  I have already received my gift~my children.  How thankful I am! Every gift pales in comparison to that!

But as a daughter,  it’s always a bit more of a struggle for me here in Spain. I usually have to find something on-line to send to my mom and of course we have no access to English greeting cards. It gets harder each year to think of creative gifts for mom. My sister, Sue has been a jewel over the years, buying the gifts and signing our names to them. This year I have had to think ahead because my mom will be on a motor-home trip.

I think I’m going for a gift card! How about you?
