A precious gift from a granddaughter

What a treat to receive a Christmas box from our kids  and we really enjoyed watching Downton Abbey- seasons 1 &2 that they sent to us. Anybody see it? We’re hooked! So much so, that John bought me season 3  for my upcoming birthday gift. Nice yeah?

But we received an extraordinary gift from one of our granddaughters that will be a treasure as long as we live.  I’ve included a few photos.

Abigail who just turned 12,  loves to do bead work and she generously worked on a project for us that includes the names of all of our grandchildren (Abigail’s cousins on the Pearson side) IN ORDER of their birth! Talk about a labor of love!…26 names on this  priceless work of art.

Abigail has grown into a sweet and generous young woman and  it’s been a blessing to watch her gifts & talents come shining through … even from afar. We hope to spend more time with our grandchildren in the coming years.

In years to come, our plan is to  use it as a Christmas  garland for the tree, but for now I’m wearing it as a necklace.

Way to go Abby! She gave us a great homemade gift too (jarred cookie mix)!

    • Hey, season 3 came in the mail today… guess what we will be doing tonight???

  • You have no idea how long she worked on this! Truly a labor of love from her. She was so excited to give it to you.

    • We were just so excited to receive it!! She is a jewel!!

  • I noticed that Mom was wearing this today around the house. We thought it was a wonderful gift and is something that can be forever treasured. However, we may have to send it back for small modifications now and then…
