A blessing for Anita
This morning I was on a Skype with Anita and she was asking me what she could make for supper tonight. I asked her what she had on hand, and so she was able to put together a dish; Fried Rice, with greens, zucchini, a couple of scrambled eggs, lettuce from her wee patch of garden, some peanuts, soy sauce etc. She was given a bunch of zucchini from a neighbor. How nice!
While we were working on this, in walked hubby Neil with a HUGE bag of groceries and paper goods from a friend who was moving away. Here she was, working on using up the last bits of food on her cupboard, and the Lord responded instantly! He is so good to us to always provide. A real blessing.
She typed out some of the treats she received:
peanut butter
sauces
chocolate chips
powdered sugar
baking mixes
napkins
coffee syrups
beans
jalapenos
risotto rice
and more!
Grand Birthday
April is a “birthday month” for our kids, Neil and Anita in France. Elijah turned 5 years old on April 10th and Ana turned 3 on the 20th. Precious! Here are some photos that we enjoyed, after the fact. We were unable fly or drive to Aix en Provence because of work, but Neil and Anita are very good about sending photos and emails with all the details.
Kids Celebrate 1st Anniversary in Spain!
Yep, Rebekah and Dave celebrated their 1st anniversary as a married couple in Spain. It’s always a blessing to have our kids come to our house and it seems “right” to have them here.
They had a good time seeing the sights of Spain and were able to take in a flamenco show, try some Spanish tapas, go to the Prado Museum, the Royal Place and even visited a day with Anita (Rebekah’s sister), Neil + the kiddies: Elijah and Ana. We were there too of course and we loved every minute with the kids and “grands”. We hadn’t seen Neil and Anita + fam since Christmas and they live just 9 hours away by car! John and I are hoping for at least quarterly visits with them.
Rebekah and Dave were kind enough to bring us goodies from the States and to take back mail for us. The difference for us is:
U.S Mail- .41 cents
Spanish Mail- $1.27
and that is for each letter! We are always thankful when folks can help us in this way.
Welcome and thank you!
This is a day we have been anticipating for a couple of months now. Our new blog is up and running. Yippeee! There may be a few little “bugs” to work out, so I thank you in advance for your patience. That was the “welcome” part of this 1st post; now for the “thank you” part. This goes to the genius of our son-in-law Neil. He is a professional web designer among other things. On this site you can read their news as well as ours by clicking on the link called:
Neil & Anita on the home page.
